Volunteer & Community Service

You can’t keep what you’ve got, unless you give it away!

The backbone of OCARTA is our volunteers.  Our volunteers not only give us the needed man-power to maintain our facility and functions, but they are also the glue filling in the gaps; providing a crucial role  necessary for any non-profit to function and grow.

The power of a volunteer comes from choice!  Our volunteers are dedicated to the vision and mission of our organization.  They not only act as an extension of the staff, but also as their own separate entity.  They are consumers, peers, and advocates all in one.

Many of our volunteers move on to get certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist and help the community by sharing their strength, courage, and hope.
